I used to use Fender Heavy (White) before I gave them up and starting using my fingers exclusively.

I use blue and green Dunlop tortex pics.

The greens are for my guitar and the blue ones go to my bass when I use a pick for my bass cause I usualy finger pluck. But I always use the tortex they work best!

I used to use the Dunlop Big Stubby 3mm until I decided to gradually move over to using just my fingers. I went through a stage of using a pick and fingers but eventually learnt to play without a pick.

For me, no pick can come close to the tonal dynamics that are possible with just the fingers.

Having said that, I did try a wide variety of picks (not including the v-picks I should add) and found the Dunlop Big Stubby 3mm to be the best of the lot.

I'm on a kick right now where I've been using the Fender Heavy celluloid. I like them quite a bit. 8)
