Ha! That's why I am such a stickler about my kids picking up after themselves.

My wife was carrying her downstairs and tripped.

Been there, top of the stairs carrying my son downstairs still in his baby walker, tripped managed to hold on to baby walker with both hands and legs, bumped all the way downstairs on my backside, it was the little smile as he turned around as though to say what happened there can we do it again daddy

 It was fun for him rip!!! :)

Daftest thing is I'm sure for a fleeting second, I heard myself mutter "will I, should I, could I"
suppose thats why the missus says mens brains are in their backside

Maybe it's just stairs. When my son (now 18 years old) was little we had a gate across the top of the stairs. I came into the room one day to find he'd opened the gate and was about to ride a flattened cardboard box down the stairs.

He pushed off and slid down the stairs, I stepped forward and tripped over another box. He was fine - I bruised a knee and an elbow when I hit the floor.

EDIT: Stopped smiley obscuring the number 18

haha oh dear :S Im 18 myself so no kids for me anytime soon i should hope, But i can remember a nasty baby story of mine, When i was a tike i was a Tall child. when I was about 2 my mum was a single parent and had new BF's alot, however she said to one "look after Alex whilst i have shower", his way of looking after me however was to sit me down on the sofa next to him and play the nintendo...So i went on a little mission into my kitchen and into the drawers,Now i dont know why but ive always been intrigued with Knives(For as long as i can remember) and lifted out this massive carving knife from the top drawer and was stabbing my cabinets with it as to me it was a real "sword",he heard this and walked over to the kitchen to investigate and saw me with my "sword" and ran over to me. Needless to say i dropped it! but...on top of his foot,he lost his baby toe because of it(well half of it but there's very little remaining) Turns out this guy stuck around and became my Father ha:P its a hell of a story to look back on though!

Im half and half about how i feel when it comes to kids,I definately wnat some but I dread to think of whats going to happen!

Best of luck to all you who have them right now though!!!
:D

Great... now my daughter is calling me the "Taxman" My wife took her to the dentist... she's four going on seventeen, and the Taxmasters commercial came on the TV in the waiting room. She says to my wife "look, daddy's on TV" So when i came home from the toils of the day she says "Daddy, are you the Taxman?"

Thank god for kids... they always manage to crack you up just when you need it.

So my wife was walking across the room holding my 8 month old son when she tripped on one of his toys. I jumped up to grab onto her and keep her from falling, but when i jumped up i tripped on a laundry basket and smashed my ankle and shin.

So after that took place my wife steps backwards and trips over the SAME toy!! so i jump up from holding my leg to catch her and I TRIPPED AGAIN!! this time bonking my knee. Luckily she caught her balance.

We both just sat down after that. We moved the toys and thought long and hard about the routes we were going to take once we got up.

i swear having kids is an adventure and a sport!!

 glad everything was OK, funny story, I wish we had video.
