So my wife was walking across the room holding my 8 month old son when she tripped on one of his toys. I jumped up to grab onto her and keep her from falling, but when i jumped up i tripped on a laundry basket and smashed my ankle and shin.

So after that took place my wife steps backwards and trips over the SAME toy!! so i jump up from holding my leg to catch her and I TRIPPED AGAIN!! this time bonking my knee. Luckily she caught her balance.

We both just sat down after that. We moved the toys and thought long and hard about the routes we were going to take once we got up.

i swear having kids is an adventure and a sport!!

Been there, done that.

The worst pain, including my broken arm, was the square edeg of a lego jammed into the webbing between my little toe and the next one over, at 2 am while I was just trying to get a bottle for the little hellion.

And one time my wife was going to pick up the crying baby, tripped on some toy or the other and started to fall. In my effort to reach out and catch her I managed to punch her right in the eye, nice shiner that one left.

Yes, an adventure all the way.

That statistic increases to 95% if there is a video camera present.

My latest personal dictator, Osama Bin Toddler, keeps us in a constant state of terror by rascal'ing. I'm absolutely sure she sets traps up for us, that their thought out and planned. It's some kind of revenge dependant on how much (A)we've had to tell her off. (B)Denied her full access to the apple juice. Or (C) Had the sheer audacity to expect a hour's worth of peace and quiet.

She does play a mean tele for a 2 year old though.

All said and done I wouldn't change a thing about her. It's all what makes her, her, afterall.

I was very very grateful a year or so ago. My wife was carrying her downstairs and tripped. She forced herself to land on her back to protect the little mite. She couldnt walk for a couple of days. Tripping with babies is a damn scary business.

wow... At least i know we're not the only ones with that going on. We gave up on trying to keep the playroom clean. We have a couple of books by David Shannon, one of them called "Too Many Toys" has this funny picture of the dad stepping on a toy and jumping in pain grabbing his foot. My daughter told my wife "look... that's daddy walking in the playroom"
