So I've decided to sell my 60's RI MIJ strat and was wondering if there was somewhere to list it besides Craigslist (its been on there for near a week now with no bites) and ebay. So where do you guys list your gear?

We have a tv station here WRAL in Raleigh and its web sight has a classified section that’s free. Things move on it very quickly because so many use it. We also have a local sight (yard sale online kinda thing) much like Criegslist but with out all the goofy crap you find there…. I seem to sell things much quicker there than I ever do on the Bay or C-List….

Here in NL we have a local website called Newfoundland and Labrador Classifieds and Buy and Sell magazine that sometimes have gear in them going far below Ebay prices,I've picked up some unbelievable bargains there. Are there any such sites in your area?It seems that these community boards get more local action than Ebay and they're free, relying on business ads for their revenue.

Sometimes it just takes time. I have seen guitars listed for 3 days up to a few months. But it is going to be that way no matter where you put it up for sale.

If you're in no particular hurry to sell, specialist forums can work well... buyers will find you!

Not the best thing for a quick sale though.

You can post collectible guitars for sale & wanted here: http://guitar-collector.org/viewforum.php?f=14 I've bought two guitars from listing "wanted" ads here. :)

Do you have any State specific musician/band sites? We have a thing here called fastfude which is a network of musicians in Ireland and a lot of people move gear there too.
