Post subject: Cleaning/Washing your Fender tweed hardshell case

hello all,

need some tips on how to clean/wash the fender tweed hardshell guitar case, lots of dirt and stuff on the case, was wondering whether just normal soap and water will do the trick or not?

any advice welcome

Try Turtle Car Upholstery Cleaner,it works great,doesn't harm the fabric and smells good too.

thanks a bunch guitslinger. with normal soap and water, is it likely to damage the finish of the tweed?

It shouldn't harm the case at all as that material is pretty rugged,I'd use a brush(not too hard)to get into the rougher bits of material or where there is a build up of dirt. Use the cleaner alone first and then if you like just go over it with a cloth and clean water,you shouldn't need to use soap.I've used it on guitar cases and suitcases and it has worked well.
