Hey lite ash stratocaster!

 Yep, that's me. Not much to see, apart from some evidence that I'm better at telling bad jokes than I am at playing guitar. 8)

What a wonderful fat sound out of that telecaster.

I liked the bad joke, far more acceptable than a lot of my bad jokes, or my good ones.

Have you tried out the "handwash only" one yet? Keeping a completely straight face all the way through, including the punchline, is the key on that one. You get a very satisfactory effect of; "What the f-f-f -? ...Oh, I see [groan]."

:D - C

PS I'll get back to you on the logo thing...

Being linguistically inclined as I am, nearly all of my favorite jokes involve wordplay in one form or another.

Thanks for the love on the Tele, Nick & Twelvebar. It sounds even better when someone else plays it.

And Ceri, I don't know the "handwash" joke. Care to post it for our amusement and edification? 8)

Oh dear - I was very ashamed of myself for the hijack. But anyway, it happened on this thread:

oddly yesterday at work I got a chance to work it naturally into a conversation after a commercial for a special about the shroud on Discovery Channel came on during the hockey game.

needless to say it met a mixed reaction.

Don't sell yourself short, iirc from earlier posts you are a new-ish guitar player? I think you show promise, I remember being frustrated when i started out that I couldn't play Eruption in the first 6 months of playing!!

oddly after I hit the woodshed and developed the technique to pull it off, i had no interest in playing it anymore. Most of my favorite work by eddie is the less flashy bits, even in the songs with flashy bits. take Panama, the solo is flash, but my favorite bit is the slower part under the vocal bridge.

It was up there with the story about 'Eileen' the one legged waitress that works at IHOP.

I saw a man with NO legs in a swimming pool. His name was Bob.

...I don't think RR is going to object to this thread getting hijacked like this one little bit! :D

So... Did I mention? I had to pack in my job at the helium gas factory. I wasn't prepared to be spoken to in that tone...

Sometimes the one legged waitress is Chinese, so I change her name to Irene.

Did you ever hear the one about the cannibal who passed his brother in the woods?

Okay, I'm caught up on the "handwash" gag now. Very nice.

'Spose Pilate bought that shroud at Herod's? 8)
