Would be much funnier if his irish impression even remotely like Irish muisc, or even a stereotype of irish music or the irish style.

I dont find it funny, not because of the joke or that im offended, but purely because its just not very good.

It didn't sound very Irish to me,all he did was try to put on an Irish brogue and sped up the songs.I believe that John,Paul and George have Irish forebears on at least one side of their families anyway,I don't know about Ringo though.

In reading a biography on the Beatles I remember that John and Paul both come from Irish descent. I believe it was their grandparents who moved from Ireland to England

Yeah ... "McCartney" ... I mean, how much more Irish sounding than that can you get??

I'd bet we yanks find more humor in it than anyone else. I'm easily fooled when it comes to some accents since I'm not real keen on what to look for in the dialect.

Indeed it was clever! I enjoyed that, thanks! :D

I thought Paul was Scottish, and didn't he have an estate up there.

Was Mull of Kintyre done with Irish pipes?

yeah, i know it was a poor impersonation, but I thought it was a funny concept. kinda reminds me of some local non-Irish or Newfoundlanders when they try to play that kind of music.

i figured CC would get a kick out of it.
