#2 Company?

Gibson; not because of inferior guitars, but becasue they do not have the breadth of line (especially amps) though they somewhat make up for it in thos magnificent acoustics. And sorry for Gib, in this opinion, they do not have the overall hipness of vibe which makes Fender THE leader for pure fun-of-association-therewith.

'Really like Line 6 amps and guitars for their amazing versatility, but to this picker, they are sadly soul-less (actually, "soul-lite"), especially compared with Fenders.

#1 would be BERETTA

You pose the question telling everyone there number one is Fender. Why would you think that?

I can't believe that no one has said G&L--the last guitars that Leo was making!

My first three electrics were G&Ls--sadly, I only have one of them left  (I'd love to get that 198? G&L Nighthawk back!)...

I like all of their "classic" styled instruments (especially the F-100, Nighthawk/Skyhawk, G-200) although the metal-influenced models (Invader, Intercepter) never did much for me.

lite ash stratocaster Charvel counts and you are a guitar player and a very good one for a young guy. I am saying that because I do not want you to pigeon hole yourself into one style. You have the Charvel now and as sure as the sun will shine I have the feeling you will be learning some shred licks and going off on the Floyd in the next year.lol

Civilleira you sure love your guns lol, and I like your #1 pick and I also like a Walther PPK but I live in NYC and have another reason why I cant have one anymore.lol

G&L. Is that too close to a Fender? ha ha. I do truly love my USA made Legacy though.

I personally like Yamaha for their acoustics, i have a Yamaha FG720s-12 and it feels and plays like a dream and not to mention it was only like $330.00 and it sounds better than my breedlove 12 string which cost me more that twice as much

It varies. Right now Fender is my #2, Supro is my #1. It just changes with my mood. Sometimes It's my Ibanez Artcore AS73 modded with Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P-90 pups. Sometimes my Strat is #1. I'm not real brand loyal. Amp wise at this time it's Egnater. What's #1 for me is what I want to achieve at the time.
