My No.2 would have to be Epiphone(Ihave 5)for the money the quality of the Epis makes them a much better bargain than Gibson. For the money Gibson charges for the Les Paul for instance it's just not worth it since the Epi is often as good or even better than the Gibsons. As someone who also noodles with drums, being a huge Keith Moon fan I have the same weakness for Premiers as Ceri.

Gibson for me. I'd like to get a PRS too though.

I am quite surprised at some of the answers, and even not familiar with some which is cool as it gives me somethings to look into.lol I figured most would be guitars with humbuckers. By the way Plymouth58 is that your Dean Leslie West artist series-a wicked guitar by all accounts.

Yes, straycat113, that's my Leslie West sig. It's an amazing guitar, but you gotta love a chunky V-neck and the simplicity of a single humbucker. 8)

If we pretend it's 1995, I would say Guild... But since Fender completely f&*%ed up that brand/line... I would have to say Gibson is my #1...

It's pretty much impossible to have fender has my #1 when my main axes are Full hollow and semi hollow bodied guitars...

I have never tried a Heritage, but I have heard they are a good copy of what Gibson does... Kind of like the old Guilds....

Gretsch is pretty good too... but I prefer the Guilds and Gibsons...

The G guitars... :?

The Heritages seem to be super! Marty Schwartz my "online-guitar instructor" plays one and it sound phenomenal. Supposedly Heritage is owned and they are built by old Gibson employees, but I can't confirm that.

you are correct... they are made in USA in Kalamazoo which is a factory that was closed down by Gibson... All the old employees teamed up to form a new company called Heritage... It's weird because you used to be able to buy these used Hertiages for much about 5 years ago.. Now they are going for almost the same price as a Gibson...

I have never bought one because I never wanted to spend the money on something I know absolutely nothing about.. They don't have any here in phoenix to try...

here is a video of Marty from NAMM talking to the Heritage guy, if you look in his other videos he has a lot of him playing is Heritage for both covers and lessons.

Great "bang for the buck" guitars. Although the MSRP on the new Les Paul Tribute model is kind of ridiculous IMO.

Aside from my 4 Fender Strats, the only other Electric Guitar I have is my 2001 Gibson LP Standard. So, I guess my answer would be Gibson.

I'm with Chet (8 Strats, 1 Tele, 1 Jazz Bass, 5 Les Pauls).

I also have a modest number of JBL speakers (to go with my amps from "company #1). So I reckon Lansing qualifies as #3.

I have to admit for the money Schecter makes a nice guitar. But I'd have to go with Epiphone for #2. I still play my '64 (build date not reissue) almost every day.
