I'm seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on this one. Not a Fender, but......

Hi Chet,
looking at their website, I see a lot of cool looking guitars... and did you see the "Raven West Girls" Makes me want to buy one... Just wondering, have you played or heard what they sound like? The prices seem very reasonable, and the quality looks good too. If you do buy it, please give us a full review

Good Luck

Bill

That's a great price and with the P-90s and hollow body she should sound somewhat like an Epi Casino or Gibson 330,you can hardly loose,I'd say go for it.
(edit)I just reread the specs and noticed that it's semi-hollow so it probably would sound closer to a 330 than a Casino. From what I read there seems to be a chance that the pups are an extra charge, did you get that impression?

I was thinking this would take care of:

Tele GAS
P-90 GAS
Hollowbody GAS

They give you the option of supplying a different set of pickups to be installed or changing the stock pickups to Duncan's that they have.

Heck, CAFeathers, i'd buy that axe based on that much GAS relief alone! add that to the other plusses, and it's a done deal, imho! That company reminds me of Schecter, who have provided me with two excellent quality, more bang for your buck guitars that are of build quality far exceeding the msrp!

It really is a sweet looking ax and I like the 90s, I say go for it Chet as you really have nothing to lose. If for some reason it dont meet your standards I see no problem at all moving it on.

Hi Chet,

Looks like a winner to me. I rate those hipshot style fixed bridges, very comfortable to play.

Asking for an opinion on the Fender Forum? Hmm. We don't usually like to deal in those.

But in this case, I'd say go for it. I have been GASing for a hollow-body myself, so I'd be interested in hearing your feedback. Plus it looks cool and the price seems right. Why not? 8)

It says "blem" so chances are it's got a simple cosmetic issue but still plays great. For $299... why not? 8)

Chet I hate to be the voice of reason here, but you've said a few times that you dont get on with tele's.

That said its a nice looking guitar for a nice price. A nice man like you could ensure it played nicely in no time.
