I love the quack of this PUP. Thinking about dropping one in the Middle of a 52 Hot Rod. Tone options are obviously increased, how much of a difference in the said PUP's tone will be made having it be in the middle as opposed to the neck? And while we are at it I would like to know anyone's opinion on the difference between the vintage bridge PUP of the Hot Rod for the Custom Shop Broadcaster PUP as I may swap that too. Thanks.

Well there will be a tonal difference for sure. It's going to be like a typical strat middle position but with all them tele qualities.
I personaly think its one of the best tele pickups areound. I wouldnt bother carving a center position into the hotrod to accomodate it. I'd just put it in the neck position and use the Baja tele wiring.

Or you could just get a Baja tele that you can mod to your hearts content without too much worry of devaluing a expensive guitar. I have a Baja and a 57 Hotrod strat, ok the Baja dont play like the Hotrod but its a really good usable guitar.

Well I do like the SD mini humbucker that comes with it too. I would need a center route and a 5 way switch. I did something similar to this with an old tele, that i sold. 2004 American, With tele texas specials, and a texas special strat mid. With it, the center channel was already routed under the pickguard. I have heard the older baja's teisted tele was better than current ones, is this true? What about the difference with the custom shop vintage bridge vs. custom shop broadcaster bridge, any difference there? Appreciate any tips or advice.
