One family had page3 pictures all over the walls. Literally as wallpaper. The man of the house had been round every one of them and drawn moustaches and glasses on them in black marker pen. He'd also coloured the nipples in too.
Looking around his lounge there was a 3ft high statue of elvis that he'd done exactly the same with.

That's just bordering on insanity Niki mate. Same way with this guys house, it was an absolute dump and no way to live. It completely honked of piss too and it WAS the kind of place you would see on Kim and Aggie. Disturbing. Wouldn't be surprised if he had a human head in the fridge either.

Haha we get that program here on one of the channels, i have watched it a couple times. Amazing how some people live.

I was doing some demolition work with a friend's company as a second job around a decade ago. in a city I no longer live in.

we got called to one house that had been inhabited by 3 elderly women and around 200 cats. We were out there with an environmental cleanup crew. Everyone had to wear hazmat suits. Full respirators the works. The humane society workers weren't allowed inside. the entire house was literally mid shin height in a mud made of cat poop and pee. I am going to assume human excrement too, as the toilets were also filthy, like way beyond filling station bathroom filthy, and unusable.it was smeared on the walls and even the ceiling. No word of a lie, i can't even describe it. There was no where in the house without it, not one spot you could see the flooring. we ended up not being involved in the demo job, but seeing the inside of that hoouse is something I'll never be able to 'unsee'

people in the neighborhood were warned to keep their pets in doors until the cats were captured. the fear was that they were all diseased. Many were ill, but thankfully there was no virulent diseases.

Most of the cats (maybe even all of em, i don't remember,)had to be put down. The whole house was destroyed. Even the houses on that show Hoarders were nothing compared to this place. garbage and feces everywhere.

wait, what was this thread about?!?

I believe they wandered away. It was two very old ladies and their even more elderly mother. i seem to remember authorities looking for them, and they turned up at a hotel. i don't remember what became of them. i am hoping they received some form of mental health care.

I know the place was a rental, I remember the landlord, and the look of panic on his face when the authorities were explaining his liability.

I remember changing out of the suit, and the overwhelming stench after taking off the respirator. I can't imagine what it would have been like in the house without it.

About 12 years ago, when I was in charge of data entry where I work, I got to hire. Since the job required no experience, we got a lot of people just out of high school and I couldn't believe the total lack of disrespect some showed. (Mind you not all by any means, but I'd say 1/3 at least.)

I had one guy who point blank asked if I could get to the F'ing point in my little sermon (I was telling him about the company). He was "busy" unlike me. If he had the job, great when did he start. Otherwise, could I quit wasting his time because he had things to do.

So yeah, he'd probably walk around in the rain with an expensive guitar. Let's face it, mom and dad would buy him another one instead of taking him over the knee. I just having a feeling that most on this forum treat their guitars a lot better because they earned them in some way or another.

As for seeing things in others' houses ... I worked for a moving company for two years in musician days. (Nice day job with no OT at night but a lot better pay than minimum.) Being fairly small, they had me lead a packing crew. Some of the things I packed up (or my crew did) were shall we say a bit shocking. Let's just say that I wouldn't have left some of that stuff sitting in a drawer for someone else to see.
