EVERYTHING...I NEVER listen to FM radio anymore (in USA). I pretty much can't stand any of it with the exception of Metallica. Nothing else I like ever gets airplay so I only listen to CDs. Most of my CDs are by Scandinavian and other European bands anyway.

During the rare occasion I am driving a car w/ no CD player, I absolutely hate Bon Jovi, Madonna and Green Day more than any others. I don't like DMB or John Mayer either.

a tough thread for songwriters for sure, I try to listen but more often than not spend more time turning the radio dial than listening, not a fan of the rap/hiphop oriented music or much of the music being played over samples of other already published music (as a songwriter I am trying not to be too caustic and I can feel you Bros laughing right now because you all know how I feel about rock and roll  ) If I have to pick one it is "Tomorrow" sung by a little red haired girl with no eyes and a little dog, that picture is scarier than Freddie, Jason and Michael put together.

Anything by U2 and most of the Beatles that they put on the radio.

Any of this new stuff, like the bands 3OH!, Corbra Starship, etc.

Whatever happen to the good stuff, when the singers sounded like they were men and not like 13-year-olds crying their hearts out or trying to come off as the cool-and-tough kids on the block?

Whatever happen to the good stuff, when guitar riffs actually required skill and creativity, and more importantly, had MEANING, instead of having people who play guitar just because it looks cool and the girls like it?

Whatever happen mind-blowing Rock&Roll, and soulful Rhythem&Blues?

Please tell me they aren't dead yet....

Only radio I listen to is BBC Radio 3 which is all classical and world music. I would listen to Celtic or Scotland matches if I couldn't watch them on TV but that's it.

I don't do radio much. Can't stand it. I can't avoid others playing it though, sadly. Even if I'm in a shop and hear a song I don't like playing I leave til it's over cos I don't want any of that pish stuck in my head all day.

Strange, I know, but that's how I roll.

Thats kind of similiar to me. It stinks we don't get BBC in the US. (or at least I think we don't)

I always put in a good CD to listen to in my car. :)

My Garmin has a built-in mp3 player and I have a 4GB SD card in the slot with 633 songs on it from some of my CD collection. And sometimes... I don't even use that.

My last run down to Bristol, TN took about 15 hours. I never once even turned on the radio. 8) I do not require music to keep the wheels turning.

Led Zepplin. I've never heard a more boring, inconsequential and irrelevant band. What kind of clown goes writing songs about bloody hobbits. The books and films were bad enough. All the riffs had been done before. It's no suprise they never released a single, they knew it wouldnt get anywhere.
I'd rather listen to Celine Dion.

So angry...

It's a basic '98 Dakota 4X4 Sport. It has a radio/cassette player.

Hey... it gets me from here to there and I haven't had a truck payment in 8 years. It's got 47,000 miles on it now. 8) I've put over 81,000 miles on my motorcycles since July 2003. So... my choice for travel is?

edit: damn typos

I stopped listening to the radio after I got an iphone - even in the car I can have the headphones on with the volume down and still hear the traffic easily.

When I used to have the radio on, the station got flicked fast for ads, Don McLean singing American Pie or anything that had gaps where they'd taken out the swearing. It wasn't that I wanted the swearing in, it's just that all those gaps were really distracting.
