I'm going with Tuff Turf.....anyone remember that one...it starred a very young James Spader.

Terrible movie but I thought the music was excellent.

I don't know when it was made and I've never seen it, but my favorite soundtrack from Legends of the Fall.

To pick a good movie soundtrack means how it goes hand in hand with the feeling of the movie. Not just the songs on their own bro. Think Rocky et al. That kind of think. its not just who's on the CD.

trying to list ones that haven't been

Dirty Dancing (oldies gold)
Flashdance (Gloria - Laura Branigan)
Roadhouse (Jeff Healey Band)
Platoon (more oldies)
Crossroads (Steve Vai, Ry Cooder)
The Warriors ('79 honorable mention)

a movie about a rock singer who burned to death that possesses a kids stereo on Halloween, I can't remember the name of that movie.

Spinal Tap

Oh my God, yeah!!!! :D

"Flash Gordon" all the way!! :P I have the soundtrack album on vinyl. 'Tis supremely awesome. :P

Definitely a VERY close second, though, would HAVE to be "The Breakfast Club." John Hughes movies are just the best. I was devastated when I heard that he passed on.

Top Gun!!! As a child of the 80s, it was the third album (on cassette) that I ever bought -- after Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' and the Police's 'Synchronicity.'

Trick or Treat? (with Skippy from Family Ties?)

soundtrack by Fastway?(guitarist, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, formerly of Motörhead, and bassist, Pete Way, formerly of UFO,drummer, Jerry Shirley, formerly of Humble Pie.) the soundtrack is the only reason i remember the movie at all.
