I wish I played bass. It would be time away from the guitar, though.

Nothing like a great bassline.

I'm trying to get my bearings on guitar although I can play a mean "Hot Crossed Buns" on the recorder.

Not much of a stretch from the guitar.
I'm sure you would have no problems! 8) -N

I play Guitar, Bass and Piano but I don't practice the latter and have subsequently forgotten a lot.

I am very good at playing hide and seek though......:D

Enjoy!

DOH...

Yeah try it ...youll like it..lol.

IMHO, going from Bass to Guitar is more difficult than Guitar to Bass.
Let us know how it goes.
Have fun !!-N 8)

I taught myself the guitar from playing bass, I'm fairly proficient on both.
I also used to play the drums but it wasn't for me, and I played the trumpet in primary school, so did jaco, flea and john entwistle so it must be a good omen. :D

Violin and harmonica though way out of practice on them. Assuming the OP meant bass "guitar" by "other than guitar or bass," I also play double bass but rarely since I don't own one.

On the other hand, I'm a total zero at brass and winds and considerably worse than that on anything percussive.

And at work ... I can play "doe eyes" when they're passing out "you'll be working long hours ... all weekend on this one" assignments

like every one here I have played other instruments, drum kit, keyboards, different types of guitars, when needed. the only other thing kind of related that produced an income for me was acting and extra work in movies and television. the only movie were you will recognize me in is the last one I did 'The Dark Knight' very cool set very cool people involved, I'm in the funeral procession walking next to a horse (no we aren't related) I was in a bunch of other scenes but the only part of me you could see is my elbow (my nephew pointed it out to me  ) dinner theater wise in 'The Soprano's Last Supper' a comedy spoof of the cable series for 3+ years. That was fun, I miss it a little and the money wasn't bad, I definitely miss that part. It is still going in Las Vegas some where on the strip. other TV shows and movies I haven't been able to see my parts and they probably ended up on the cutting room floor but in those days I was more concerned with my check and was always trying to be a featured extra in order to get that extra pay bump (in gun battle scenes, if you were shot, it was usually a 25 dollar bump) some other shorter lived dinner theater plays but I would do what ever I could get. always been good at memorizing lines so I understudied as well.
