How do I get an audio track from my iTunes on here guys?

I have a strange demo that me and binterz jammed when we were out of our heads but out of all our drunken shenanigans, which are all recorded and of which there are plenty, I keep going back to this one and wondering what to do with it. I would love your input. Its a strange wee thing and I can't work out what we should do with it as it's so different from our usual.

So if anyone could give this technophobe idiot a step by step in how to get it from my iTunes to this thread I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks guys!

try this, assuming the file isn't bigger than 500mb

first save it on your desktop

Thank you BCB!

Here it is, forum member binterz on the rhythm, me playing lead over it. Please excuse the bad timing and sound. It was just through line6 software and on to Cubase. Bit samey but gets better as it gets toward the end.

Like I said I would love a feedback cos it just really is a strange one!

Thanks guys: http://www.zshare.net/audio/7512816040a9af94/

It really does get better after the 3 minute mark but I would appreciate anyone listening to all of it.

God, I'm more nervous about you guys hearing a drunken demo than I am playing finished songs on stage!

I guess thats what happens when your entire audience are opinionated guitar players!

I like it CC, always liked the trippy/reverb guitar sounds, I'm guessing this is probably the slowest song you Bros play, so it could be your one slower song on the album and as an album closer or bonus track you could let it fade at the end instead of the regular song ending. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to hearing it again.

No probs SBLS, thanks for listening! We have a few slow songs and a thousand demos that are usually recorded at parties etc, then the next day I go through them all and see whats good. This one has stood out for a while for me and I just didn't know what to do with it but I want to do something so thanks for your input and taking the time to listen mate!

Must be me but I prefer about 20seconds in.

Given the samey'ness off it. I think your gonna have to ditch the majority of it. I reckon you could get a decent ballad intro/solo out of it though.

Hi man. First thing: it takes about a half pint of beer to start my motor functions on the long slippery road to disfunction, so if that's you playing drunk off your noddle, well... respec'!

I'm itching to hear the lead guitar intertwining with a vocal line. Which immediately makes me wonder what the words are going to be about? No idea, but find something that suits the slightly wistful feel of the thing - would that be right?

There were places where I felt I was about to hear the inevitable rock drum line come thumping in. What a cliche that would be - I wonder if the drummer could find something different and perhaps lighter to do on this one? Brushes on the hi-hat, perhaps? Or what about working out delicately with his fingers on some sort of wooden latin instrument, such as a cajon? Hasn't got one? Hands on a tom, then. Bit different...

Last thing. Regarding the "saminess" that has been mentioned. Well that's what choruses and bridge sections are for, right? :D

I admit, I was beginning to long for it to modulate into some different chords for a while, but that's OK - that's what the writing process is for.

Good luck - and now you've shown us you will remember to let us hear the finished track?

Cheers - C

I liked the mood of it. Very nice. Put me in a different place than most other songs I have heard. As was said, I was sorta waiting for a drum and bass to kick in but came to my senses and realized it was a guitar demo.

Here's my one question before I get into making comments. Could you guys repeat the jam near verbatum if you had to?

Now the comments:

First off, given the "vibe" of the jam I would use a little (seriously, just a wee bit) of phase during the first 1:30. Maybe a lil delay as well.

Second, the song does a decent job of building in intensity but I would take it a bit farther and really define that peak moment! And then limit the "after glow" or wind down to 40 seconds or less.

All in all I liked it alot! Good vibe, good tone. All it needs is a little polish!

really impressive stuff! my fav part is when it starts to build there are some super sounding riffs there. I'm with the person that said this would make a perfect closer for an album or even as a nice interlude which build energy then leads into something either heavy or really fast...good stuff though, i m going to put it on my ipod!

Very smooth relaxing and somber.
I liked it.
Wouldn't call it strange, it is pretty similar to some of the stuff my friends and I play. But, I'm kind of a strange guy so it's all relative.
I like the feeling of the song.-N 8)

I like it. It has a nice slow-jam groove to it. You might want to tighten up the middle with a little more structure, but I think it evokes a nice mood overall. Well done! 8)

That's a great song, very laid back with a nice chord progression. You're playing is quite fluid C.C. despite being bombed. The reverby rythym guitar is great the way it is but I think that the lead could have a bit less treble bite for such a slow laid back song and maybe a touch of delay in parts. With just a little bit of polish this could be a really great song.Well done,I'm impressed.
