whats the most fun you have ever had doing a gig or touring.
mine is last summer my band did a tour of northern California alot of small venues and a few bigger ones i.e. the boardwalk in orangevale. well anyways we were playing a show at club retro in citrus heights when we all started to go nuts on stage just huge extended guitar solos drum solos, stage dives crowd surfing. you name it, but what made the gig for me was when i pulled a Pete Townshend on this old squier strat i was playing it was truly amazing

Mister SteveAdler. His band which included Kerry Kelli, my band and my friends all spread passed out on the floor of a hotel room and me and Steve, who I had postered on my wall when I was 9 years old, lying on a double bed smoking what we shouldn't have been smoking, sharing a bottle of Sambuca and talking about how we should be given a helicopter at birth. Stupid conversation but one of the best moments of my life and a point in my 'career' I doubt I will ever reach again.

VERY NICE. my brush with greatness was when we were playing a show at a club in L.A. some 2 or 3 years ago Steve Vai had apparently been at the show and he confronted me after we got off the stage and complemented my playing gave me a few tips and had a few drinks all the while talking guitar. that man has been my idol since i was about 8 i'm 24 now and that had to have been the greatest moment of my life. i wish i still had the pictures but everything i owned got destroyed when my house burned down last year

Without a doubt. Had my fair share of let downs too but I can't even be arsed getting into that. I'm all about the positives today! :D

it truly is the best job in the world. i played my first gig when i was 10 in a blues rock band with people three times my age at that point one of the best feelings ever. i got my first guitar when i was 6, a blue squier strat played it two times and put in in the closet for a year. when i finally pulled it out of its bag when i was 7 i was HOOKED for the first five years of my playing i was literally playing upwards of 8 to 9 hours a day. to this day i still play that blue strat

I've been addicted to many things but playing is surely the ultimate. Been in the studio all day, have a big show coming up so even when I got home I've been recording on Cubase and just going up and down scales trying to use my pinky finger more expressively. Always learning! That's the beauty!

yeah, thats the beauty of this instrument, the only thing that bothers me is every time i walk into guitar center there's another wannabe slash 12 year old throwing a fit to get the most expensive guitar in the store usually as their first guitar. it seems like the guitar is becoming a novelty item to todays kids and it just hurts me to know that that a great instrument is now going to sit in a corner and collect dust just so the damn kid can say he has a guitar

right now i am just trying to get "good enough" to play at the local blues jam, thats my goal #1. There are all levels of players out there but I want to make sure when I step up there I am prepared enough not to sound like hard boiled crap. I recently learned Stormy Monday and The Thrill Is Gone, which are two widely played songs at the jam so now I need to figure out one more since the sets are 3 songs per set. Of course it would help to be able to solo to those songs as well, but I am working on that.

Big time! There should be the equivalent of the RSPCA for neglected instruments.

Also, that's why Stradlin is the way to go!
