I'll be 60 yr. old this July, been playing lead guitar in bands since I was in grammar school, about 7 or so years ago had a triple by pass, 10 days after the by pass got a phone call, my best friend and bass player dropped dead of a massive heart attack, (was wondering why the LORD took him & not me, already had one foot in the grave) he was only 30 something, took about 4 years to find a decent replacement, now the replacement has pulled out, saying due to economic times & pressure from his CPA bean counter wife he no longer has the desire, yes economic times have been tough, a lot of places I use to gig are no longer, Chicago is not a small place, I'll try to find another bass. I'LL NEVER GIVE UP.

That is the way to do it. You only live once so do all you can in the time you have.

Some day your life is going to pass before your eyes so you want to make sure it's worth watching too.

I think you should speak to SolidBodyLoveSongs, one of the finest gentlemen to not only walk the face of the forum but Chicago, Illinois too. And a fine bass player to boot!

Best of luck and I am so sorry about your friend! All the luck in Ireland coming your way.

CC
