anybody know how to achieve that dirty sound he uses on Mary Jane's last dance? I've been fooling around but i just can't seem to get it on my strat

I got this guitar and I learned how to make it talk...

Short of buying a Rickenbacker 360 or 350 Liverpool with toaster pups and an AC 30 or 15 you should check out one of the great modelling pedals from Tech-21 Sans Amp they have a model that does a real good job of nailing the AC30 tone try: www.tech21nyc.com .Have you tried turning down your master volume and turning up your gain to dirty it up?Try using the bridge pup and setting your EQs at 12 O'clock and that may get you closer.
