So I auditioned for an actively gigging band last night. Oddly enough, it was the drummers slot that I tried out for.

Got the call this morning and they offered me the slot. Which I gladly accepted! So it looks like after 3 years of aggressive guitar study I'm back behind the kit. Ironic,eh? Glad I held on to my kit!

My 1st gig with the band is in 2 weeks. Someone usually video records the gigs, so I'll post it when it becomes available.

Very cool!

Thanks guys! I'm pretty stoked about the whole deal! Was a bit suprised when they called this morning. After all it has been almost 2 years since I sat at a set. Although; I thought I had some good runs and some pretty significant chokes they seemed to be mostly impressed.

The set list is pretty common classic rock stuff: Comfortably numb, Road House blues>voodoo chile>Road House Blues, Rockin in the free world, Pride and Joy... Ya'll get the point!

Like I said, I'll post a vid after out next gig in 2 weeks.

Good for you, Thumbs! That's terrific!

Please tell me that you won't forget your old friend the guitar, OK? (Oh, and let me know when we can start telling drummer jokes.)
