I have just picked up the guitar again after many years. Looking at the "Learn & Master Guitar" series of DVDs and books by Steve Krentz as a learning tool. This teaching series gets top ratings online but would like advise from someone who has use it.

Thanks

Hi rmtom,. I started guitar two years ago, with the "Learn and Master". I found it to be quite good, and I do recommend it. Check out their website, they have a forum as well, and its very good.
Good Luck

Bill

Same from me, best of luck and welcome to the forum!

There are a lot of people here with great advice and helpful tips. So much so I think I must owe them half my wages from gigs!

This place is great for stuff. You should check out some old threads such as Goramn's basic theory thread. All good stuff here in the world of music from picks to chicks.

Congrats on picking up the ax and returning to the woodshed. I do not know about that series but when I feel like working on something www.licklibrary.com is the place I go. They have something for beginners to pro's and there DVDs are tops.

Welcome to the forum and back to playing.I've heard great reports of the Steve Krentz guitar method but I don't have any first hand knowledge of it.

rmtom:

The Learn and Master Guitar Course is actually on a perpetual sale. That is just a marketing thing. That said, I have the course, and it is fantastic, well worth the money. It covers a LOT of ground and it is a lot of fun. Don't overlook the Learn and Master Guitar forums too. Good Luck.....

Thanks again going to need to use every avenue available to me. My brain and fingers don't work as fast as they use to. Looking to pick up a Roland Micro Cube or something like it to to make setting up for practice easier, quieter and more portable, getting rid of my HRD until I progess a little more.

I've never heard of Learn and Master guitar but I will check it out.

The Blues You Can Use series is very good as well.
