Come on guys, and gal. This stuffs getting quite out of line. Can't we all agree we're here for the guitars/music aspect of the site and put these petty differences behind you. We all have our likes, dislikes and opinions, let's just not let them ruin what is a decent online hangout for a lot of people.

I'm not on anyone's side, though I agree with those wanting friendliness.

Now that it's clear knitgirl doesn't like her words used that way it would just be good manners to remove the quote.

Friendly respect to everyone - C

Good manners would have been to never have said something you didn't want to be quoted on or to have angrily engaged someone else for posting a POV you didn't agree with. If she was worried about how her words may be used then she would watch what she posts a little more carefully when interacting with those who have a differing opinion than hers or who she chooses to attack with her verbal commentaries. I may have made a comment in someone elses topic, but it wasn't an angry pointed remark directed at that person because I disagreed with their POV and this person took it to heart and overreacted. Ceri, respectfully, I have stated that I will not remove said comment simply because someone who started the entire back and forth is demanding that I do so and wants to get their way. I have not violated the TOS and if I have that is for the forum admin to decide. I am planning to ignore the person in question and it is her decision to let it go or make a stink about it. Either way, I won't be bother with it by her. Good day sir.

BCB come on, let it go, relax - what have you got to prove? Your continual use of Knitgirl's quote, out of context, and after she asked you not to, starts to look like you're trying to humiliate, belittle or anger her. An argument is an argument, no big deal, people move on. But persisting with something, repeatedly, after someone has made it clear that it's unwelcome - that's a good definition of bullying or harassment.

It takes a bigger man to let something go and not have to be right at the expense of someone else's feelings... a big man like, uh, John Henry... remember him, the topic? 8)

Do you care to explain to the board why you went back and later added  more to one of you earlier post in a secretive way.  Why couldn't you just post this added material in a new post?  Are you trying to make me look like I ignored part of your post?

Probably because you don't have the sack just like that numb groin Blackcatbone.

The two of you are exactly the same rude jerks.  For the life of me I don't see how you can possibly think that it is okay for someone to use a quote of a forum member in their signature without the forum members permission.  Also, it baffles me that you feel compelled to defend Blackcatbone.

I often edit what I write, more properly on preview than after sending. Occasionally I forget, so I recall what I've written for the purpose. Forum members of long standing are familiar with that. Seems they don't have issues about it. The matter you raise about using a quote still is subject to the plain fact that this remains an open forum and material can be used at the pleasure of any of us, and often is, Do we have verbal battle royals around here. We most certainly do. They can be quite challenging and entertaining.
I did not jump to your adversary's defense. I initally made an observation about what I considered to be your self-deprecating characterization of yourself with respect to John Mayer, an artist about whom I have serious general issues of moral character and propriety. It is not unusual for a member to do. I commented,as well, on your generally poor style, and choice of language dealing with your issue. As I said before, those of your ilk are not new to this Forum and we are quite able to deal with it in our own fashion. Where you are concerned, once again I suggest getting out of the kitchen if you can't deal with the heat.

Forum members who know me and about me understand from where I derive my philosophies. When dealing with an individual such as yourself, I can be a rank, sanctimonious SOB because I enjoy both the years, and the life experience level to pull rank on you, particularly because you are of the opinion that Ozzy rules. If you're talking Iommi, well that's another matter. As for Osborne, that that brain-fried sad sack could be your gold standard explains much, as I have already espoused.

+2 Forum members will eventualy take sides on this then anger & chaos enters the forum we've all seen it, everyone makes mistakes at times, they just don't care to be reminded of it at every turn, it is a public forum, I don't care to see anyone being hounded out over a flippant remark, time for a rethink methink 8)

I haven't taken anything out of context at all. I quoted directly from her post that SHE posted. Harassment? Please, be real with yourself man. Again, I standby the things I post on here as should anyone else. If you don;t wish to be quoted don't post it. Period. As for what i am trying to prove, well quite simply nothing, but I am also not going to be talked to by someone I who doesn't agree with my comment in the way she chose to conduct herself in the original thread in question. Not going to happen. She started it, got in her petty little stabs and now wants to demand me to do something? Riiight. Obviously if your concern is someones feelings the you don't take into account the way this person spoke to me and others who have had the audacity to disagree with her or not back down from her insults. But that is fine. As I have said before, it will only be removed it the moderator decides to remove it and people should not post anything that they do not intend to stand by. You and I have nothing further to discuss sir as you have made your point an I have made mine, take care of yourself.
