i have bought the new jeff beck album. for the first hear: wow. a bit classic stuff, good female singers. good songs and his great playing.

what's your opinion?

There's an interview in Junes GP with Beck. He recorded most of it with a 50's Tweed Champ.

It's a lot different from his last (live @ Ronnie Scott's) and many probably won't like this. He does rip on a few tunes, but nothing like what one might hope for.

The two tunes with Joss Stone are okay. Rhonda's tune is great, but the others take some time to "get" in my opinion. Not that it's bad, just very, very different.

Its another great Jeff Beck album.

Just wish Joss Stone wasn't on it. Shes awfull IMO.

Imelda May, on the other hand is a class act. I saw her live when she supported JB last year. Shame she doesn't feature on the album more.
