just to let you all know that if you want your epi to sound a lot better and have a better tonal response and also clean up when you turn the volume on the guitar down , buy a vintage wiring kit with pio caps . i've just finished installing a kit on my epi lp and what a difference , well worth the money , i need to get one for the sg now :)

Cheers Al,

I've got a 10 year old Epi Sg and would love to know how yours turns out.

Keep us posted!

Andy

Hi Alan,Who makes these kits and is the change that profound?I have 5 Epis, well I don't want to change anything on my John Lennon Models but it may help the others. My Custom Shop Firebird sounds so much like a 60s SG that I'd be afraid to touch it so that leaves me with 2.Are they expensive?

Hi Hop,if I didn't have the John Lennon willed to the Mrs. I would have willed it to you, seriously,I know that it would at least have the most loving home.

Very cool! I've been tinkering with upgrading things on my Epi for a while now. I will definitely look into that kit.
