Two weeks from today we're going to Miami to take a cruise on the Carribean, finally, but we're spending a week in Miami on a guitar hunt for a Rickenbacker 360/12 or some John Lennon type model as long as it has toaster pups.I couldn't care less for the cruise part but the little woman has been wanting one for decades,I just want to go on a guitar safari. MAE Music has been suggested and I know about the Guitar Broker just outside Ft. Lauderdale, can anyone suggest other places that sell older guitars especially Rics? Thanks.

Have a good holiday Guitslinger, hope you have a successful hunt for that guitar, just back recently from a trip to manhattan, browsed a few shops out there, wished I'd persuaded the purse holder for something bigger than a souvenir packet of picks and string's, although seen some post's lately about getting hit with Tax and such, huge overcoat on might help on your return

Besides MAE, check out Dixie Guitar Traders...Never been there but heard decent things.
MAE always has a nice selection. You may want to call them and ask for something specific; perhaps they might be able to find it for you. Ask for Mike or Jeff.

Remember, any safari (guitar, African, etc.) calls for the "safarian" to wear the Pith Helmet. Please send photos of your safari...

Too bad you won't be a little farther west, I'm in Mississippi and would love to have a fellow Newfie drop in and jam. :D

There is a Sam Ash on NW 12th Street at the Dolphin Mall. Funny I've never seen MVG cause I pass by there almost every day. Neither The Guitar Shop.

Regardless, I think you are going to find it difficult to find a Rick around here. I'll ask my friend/boss since he owns one. But I'm sure he got it off of Ebay.

Have fun in Miami and check out some of the sites before you leave. Don't make it all about guitars. If you find one great but do some site seeing with the wife.

I talked to my boss and he says he got the Rick off Ebay.

So look around and enjoy your vacation, you can always hunt the Ebay when you get home.
