I was looking at a PRS Paul Allender guitar over the weekend. Comfortable, plays and sounds nice. However, the price is quite a bit below the usual going price for PRS guitars. I'm assuming that it's a Korean made instrument, but I know very little about these guitars. Can anyone give me a little insight here?

i owned a prs allender for about 1 1/2 years. i bought it because it played well, was very light, and looked way cool. the only reason i sold it was that i decided to go back to a strat. i just love the strat sound. the allender was a bit too heavy for my taste, but is still a great value for the money.

I'm with you on the Strat thing, Phreddy! My friends all think that I've got a dent in my chest where the Strat fits. That said, the guy I usually get my gear from told me that I've got to try this thing, and the truth is that I liked it. It's priced at $685, and that seems to be a good price given where they usually trade. My hesitation in buying is from the fact that I know little about these guitars. I'd hate to spend the green only to find that the truss rods are made of cheese and corn stalks or some such.

I got a PRS SE Custom when I wanted something with humbuckers, about two years ago.
Well made, sounds good, I love it and don't regret getting it a bit.
Thinking about changing the bridge to Tonepros tho.
Stock pups are ok, no urge to change them.
