The number of times I've seen the Old Grey Whistle Test clip of the Straits doing Sultans of Swing. But this was the first time I saw the OGWT version of Tunnel Of Love. Must say, Knopfler's tone was amazingly thin that day, wasn't it? I didn't see an amp - perhaps it was back in the dressing room...

I guess there's a reason that one hasn't become a classic clip.

I turned on late and missed The Who. What were they playing, please?

BTW: you feel your years catching up with you when you realise you saw most of this stuff the first time round. I distinctly remember that Motorhead one with Filthy Animal playing with a bayonet through his head... :lol:
