I have the Band of Gypsies DVD,it's a must see for any guitarist, the Machine Gun footage is worth the price of the DVD.

I had the Winterland LP once. Whatever happened to it? It's gone now.

You cant beat a bit of Hendrix every now and again.

I think it would be hard pressed to find a bigger Hendrix fan than myself, But what I am trying to get at is that for some reason I never really dug Machine Gun, now that is strange.

When I first heard Machine Gun I thought it was the most impressive and innovative guitar playing I ever heard and still do.When I hear the "battle scene" part where Billy and Buddy hum in harmony while Jimi does his dazzling sound effects I can almost picture jets screaming over the Mai Kong Delta and napalm stripped battlefields. It was/is the greatest anti-war epic song ever written with the Star Spangled Banner a close second.
