Post subject: GFS NY II pickups? Anyone used these?

Anyone have any experience with the GFS NY II pickups? I was looking at a DeArmond today and it had these pickups in it rather than the stock 2K pups that were in it. I have always heard good things about the Dearmond 2K's so I was surprised he would taken them out but he told me these GFS pups were far superior? At $40 a pop I am wary that they are better than the stock DeArmonds.

Anyone have any experience with these pups or any of the GFS retrotron pups?
