R.I.P a little guy with a big heart. To be honest I am shocked that there was anyone still alive associated with the film, considering it was made 71 years ago.

I was shocked too. That's one of the reasons I started this thread.

Sad day for fans of the what i feel is the greatest family film ever made. I am 40 years old and every year when i was a kid we looked forward to watching the wizard of oz.

dvd, cable and netflix have made watching it trivial now and its lost a little bit of steam...sometimes it makes you wonder if we were better off back in the old days?

He will be sorely missed and i cannot believe some of the cast members are actually still alive!

Thanks for posting.

A couple in my neighborhood while growing up were in that movie which is one of my favorites...they also had a son over 6' tall.

The Wizard of Oz holds a special place in my heart. It's one of the true classics of movie making. That's a sad and amazing story. Like someone else said to think that there was anyone still alive who was associated with that movie is amazing.
