Hey Y'all,

As far as I know Fender doesn't have something in this genre. I'm wondering if anyone else on here has either a Orange Tiny Terror or a Vox Night Train or something along those lines and what they think of them. I'd post this in the amp section but I feel that's more for Fender amps.

What about an amp-lunchbox instead?

There is one lunch box amp that puts out an unbelievable 200 W and is supposed to be quite good although the name escapes me at the moment. Fender did produce a battery operated 15 W amp called the Amp Can that was literally a small but sturdy plastic can measuring 8.75H X 7.75 W X 6.75 D it had 2 inputs for guitar and mic with a distortion for guitar. It came with a battery charger and appeared in the 2004 Frontline. At this time they also made a Mini Twin that had 2-3" speakers and operated on a 9V battery. There were also the Mini Deluxe and Mini Tone Master both with 2" speakers and pumped out 1 massive Watt. The Tone Master had 2 speakers.

I have a Vox Night Train and it's a very cool little amp head. It has two modes... Bright for typical Vox clean tones and Thick, which bypasses the tone controls for a higher gain crunchier sound. It also has a dual power tube mode which runs the head at the full 15 watts or cuts the power to 7.5 watts.

I bought the 17 pound Night Train and sold my 48 pound AC15 Custom Classic and my back thanks me every day. :)

Here's a good demo video of the Night Train from Vox's Web site.

Wow, that was a great demo. Thanks for posting that. I saw that amp in a guitar magazine a few months ago and was immediately interested. Who knew it would sound even better than it looks?
