That's a sad story CC. I baby my stuff so the thought of something uncontrollable happening to my stuff makes me shiver. I hope that it's a matter of drying out but that doesn't help you much now. Best of luck.

Open them up, blow them out with compressed air, and let them sit open for a day or two (or 3). Once all the water is gone you should be good to go.

Here's a pic of my Phaser just for fun

I once dropped my ipod in a puddle, came out fine.
Maybe put some rubber or something around the edges of the bcb60 to make it water proof to prevent future problems.

Hi CC,
You've got a BCB- 60 ? Are you running that through the front of your amp
or through the send/return? I was just wondering because I have one of these in my storeroom
and I used to just run it through the front.
If I remember right, you plug your guitar in one end and it comes out the other and into your amp.
Just wondering if you can use the send/return.
Cheers mate,
Rhumba

BTW the hair dryer idea sounds good, I've used that before on my stuff.

Yeah Rhumba mate I run it through the front. Guitar>tuner>wah>phase>fuzz>chorus>trem>amp

Thats what I was thinking, some sort of sealer. I'm kind of pi55ed with Boss though! Shouldn't be happening Tochai mate. In the meantime I'm cloaking it in one of my suit carriers.

Hoeycow; Its a nightmare, I'm the same with my stuff, I baby it and clean things all the time. I'm very careful.

mthorn00: I love the look of that phaser! Hows she sound?

Thanks for all the advice guys, much appreciated! I was going to try it tonight when I got in, I AM in but I'm going to leave it a day or two. I just hate waiting. I have NO patience and just want to know it's fine.

Yeah man it's a DeVille I usually use. Just don't go carrying your best pedals around in the rain in the thing!

Yeah gotcha, Sorry to hear of your mis-fortune, hope everything works out.
I know those pedals are not cheap.
Good luck.

I did that with my mp3 player and it worked

That's the ticket, right there. I have heard that cell phones that have been submerged in water can be healed by this method. :)

Be careful with the stuff that requires heat my dad once tried to dry his phone and he fried the circuitry...

I'm sorry about the pedal board too. Those BOSS pedalboards are pretty expensive and should be 100% waterproof.

Guys my Muff is up and running and sounding it's best again with no 'shotgun' sound!

Thanks everyone for your advice and especially you Alan, my fellow Scotsman for the offer of a replacement. Gaun yersel! Greatly appreciated!

I ended up just leaving it on the radiator with a diseccant pack inside, worked a treat!

:D :D :D
