Hello everyone, I'm new here but have been playing some form of the guitar for over 30 years as a hobby but I do take my music seriously.
I used to be (and still am in a way) a big old-school metal head... Sabbath, Purple, Maiden, AC/DC, etc..
but now as I've gotten up there in age I'm kinda mellowing out (except for the occasional Rammstein song, love that band).

anyway, enough rambling and time for some playing for you guys/gals to either enjoy or hate: I created a YouTube Channel lastnight, here's my first video(audio only), stop by and send a friend invite :)

Sorry I have not posted a sample yet. Since the accident (rear-ended) my left arm and shoulder has been in a lot of pain. I see my doctor tomorrow for steroid injection(s) to see if it will help. I have only been playing about 15 to 30 minutes a day and some days it just hurts too much to play. I am going to try to post a sample soon, as soon as I get some much needed practice in. See you fine people soon.

My sympathies. Rear ended is no fun. Let us know how your arm and shoulder are and how you're doing. Hopefully, it's just bad effects from whiplash. Are you on any pain medication? I don't like medication, but it did take the sting out when I got injured.

Some really nice playing here guys! I may have posted this before but what the heck I'm proud of it. This is my attempt to capture the SRV Rude Mood tone. Be gentle :)

I'd say you suceeded with the playing as well as the tone. Great job! I was lucky enough to have seen SRV 5 times, mostly in small clubs.

This post was back in May. I was actually hit in April. Here it is July and I am almost back to normal. Yes, I was on Darvocet and Flexeril in the beginning of this post accident experience, but did not take them for very long. I also have had physical therapy for past 2 months and my last session was this past Thursday. I see my physician on the 21st to see if she will release me from her care so I can finally submit this claim to the insurance company. I will be glad to get this behind me. Everyone tells me I should sue the crap out of the person who hit me because of my pain and suffering, but I am not (unless they do not pay my medical expenses). I look at it like this, my car was already fixed, now if they pay all my doctor bills, I will be happy since I have been using my medical flex spending account to pay for all this crap.

Now back to the spirit of the thread. I am going to purchace a Line 6 POD Studio like in the link below, I am not sure which level, but the one below is the middle level for POD. I think it may take a couple pay periods to get enough saved up for one and still pay the bills and buy food for the family.

http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/pr ... sku=250003

Still not sure if I am good enough to post my mad skills (lol). For as long as I have owned and played guitars, you would think I would sound a little more like a pro.

Nice groove Mike,
Just not so clever with computers, recorded straight to line6 jm4 looper and transfered to sd card, I know the wav file format is a pain, been scratching my head on this problem, do the settings need changed before I upload them or can they be changed on the box.net site.
cheers
Ignore this Mike, problem solved
