Which guitars do you think are the best out there? It can be any guitar you can think of in history. I've always wondered the answer to this question.... :?: :o :o

Soooooo....what do y'all think? :)

If I had to keep one guitar only. It'd be a Strat.

There are so many that could fit in that category as ther are so many types of guitars and it wouldn't be an evn contest to pit an electric to a classical etc.The will always be guitars that have become legendary such as D'Angelico,D'Aquisto,Fleta,Hauser,Larsen etc. and countless others. As far as electrics go I guess the Tele,Strat and Les Paul come out in front because they were the guitars that started the solid body electric craze.

I love a lot of different kinds of guitars with the Tele probably being my favorite. But if I had to say which 2 are the most important in history it would be 50/50 between a Strat and Les Paul.

The Stratocaster. Nothing comes even close to it IMO.

+1 and Claptons "Blackie" would be at the top of my list

The best guitars I have ever played were a 1982 AVRI 52' Telecaster and a 57 Les Paul. Best acoustic I ever played was a 1934 Martin O-17

If it had to be one specific guitar, Duane Allman's 59 Les Paul. Anyone that has seen it up close knows what I'm talking about. The best models in history IMHO are the Strat and Tele. But that's because they are the ones I own ATM :)

Acoustic, pre WWII Martins are the holy grail.

Once I got my 72 Tele Custom RI I sold my other Tele's and Les Paul copies not just cos I needed the cash at the time but just how versatile it is with the separate controls for both the humbucker and single. It's my only at the moment, I want an AV 52 RI next but for home use. For live I'm simply going to buy another 72 Custom for my back-up. Til then my back-up is a friends 72.

I love them!

I've got to go with Pearly Gates, Billy Gibbons 59 Les Paul. My favorite guitar that I've played is a 98 Fender American Standard.
