Jethro Tull is a MUST. It's actually ridiculous they aren't there and I could go on to name a thousand bands who should be but I honestly can't be arsed.

From some of the people who are in, Madonna et al, the list of people in there means nothing to me now.

It sounds soppy but I firmly believe that the true hall of fame is in the hearts of the millions who have loved each band and there is nothing less rock n' roll than induction ceremonies, award shows and the like.

Keep it real and have your own hall. I do - it's called my record collection.

I love all the choices I'm hearing that should be in the Hall of Fame. Rush, Jethro Tull...I mean, we're talking about some of the most influential bands ever..and they're not IN THERE??? :? :?: :?

I also agree that fans should vote the bands in. :o

Q: Why do bands go on tour? :?:

A: To make money but to also build up a fan base to support them. Without the fans, bands and their band members would have no money to pay for the expenses of their lives. So why should CRITICS vote? All they do is criticize the bands they review. Pretty much, they're paid to say negative things about a band's CD or shows they do. :x Kinda ridiculous if you ask me.

I'm not sure if he's in, but his stuff is sure in there ^^ I got to see his Karl Sandoval Flying V (The polka dot one) up close, very nice :)

Hall of Shame? Meh, I think all of them have a decent claim to fame, some more than others but hey, that's alright. I don't think Madonna will have her own room like Jimi or the Stones or other of the biggest names in R&R history, she'll just have a certificate of authenticity saying she's in ^^

I wouldn't support opening the voting to the general public, I have no faith in them. Now opening the voting to just Fender Forum members, that's an idea :P

I think Ringo should get in. He's the last Beatle that isn't a member as a solo artist and he has come up with some really good stuff. ie: It Don't Come Easy, Liverpool 8, Walk with You.

Just have your own personal Hall in your head.
You don't even need to list them out, just do it that way, so those enshrined are exactly who you think should be, and those left out, are the ones that should be.

It's music--not a competition.

Okay. But you know McGwire ALSO will never get into the baseball HoF (along with Bonds, Sosa, Clemons, and Palmeiro).

I am a huge Rhoades fan. But such a short career does not warrant HoF creditentials. I mean it was only two albums backing up Ozzy ... the early Quiet Riot stuff is mostly forgetful.

+1000000. Well spoken Chief. Madonna in and no Rory Gallagher, Tull, etc. is just wrong.

I wonder if in 30 or 40 years the inductees will be Britney Spears, the "boy bands", the Jonas brothers, Hannah Montana, Lady Gaga, and other such groups...

Cheers Fenderseeker09!

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case in the future! Sadly it has begun.

Here is my definition of a "critic": someone who is not a) good enough to play an instrument and jealous of those who can b) too much of a coward to try and face a crowd and bare their soul c) a loser who can't find anything good in them-self so they belittle others.
Sorry fellas, I just really can't stand critics and for the record MADONNA IS NOT ROCK AND ROLL!!!
ABS
