Very inspiring and a fine tribute! I must say, that's a gorgeous job of engraving.

I like to have my neckplates stamped with a relative's birthday, formatted to mimic a legitimate serial number -- eg: December 25, 1921 (my late Dad's birthday) came out as "122521" and I used that neck plate on a '66 Jazz Bass clone I built for my brother. I recently finished a slab-board '63 Strat that I put my mom's birthday on, "L31727". She was pretty amused when I showed it to her.

Personalized neck plates are a great way to celebrate a significant date or event.

Arjay

That's awesome Chet. What a wonderful way to keep him close to you and your thoughts.

Good job!

Rick

That is a beautiful plate, very classy looking. Too bad it's out of sight most of the time.

Very cool tribute, never would have thought of such a thing.

I love it. I think part of the coolness of it is that with it being a neck plate you and he will both know that it's there, it's not an over the top tribute. That is a great way to pay respects.
