I have pre ordered it so hopefully it will land on my mat tomorrow :) and Twelvebar izzy is on the record along with duff and steven adler.
I have listened to it all already, there are a couple of tracks which dont blow me away but majoritly i think it has some real good songs on it. Theres lots of people on it that i admire. For example lemmy, chris cornell, duff, dave grohl, ozzy, izzy and iggy. I have alo come round to liking fergies voice aswell and ian astbury.
Glad its on the way :)

I am listening to the cd right now, & I REALLY like it. Its good. I think it sounds like him, I love all different singers, they all give the album a fresh twist. I personally think every song is good. I also think Slash has had alot of "spot light" lately but he deserves it. Hes a good guy & when he is in the spotlight he doesnt brag & boost. & hell no...hes not like miley cyrus at all!!!
I love his bluesy/hard rockin sound. Amazing.

When we compare him to Miley Cyrus we just mean in terms of him being a media darling.

Slash has become a parody of himself sadly. Back when GN'R ruled the airwaves they were 5 bad, partying, carefree men all about the music then ego's have been settling in over the years and I have to say Slash is the worst of the 5 in that respect. He has had his spotlight and until he does something as deserving as his old stuff he really should not be on the cover of every guitar and music magazine and at every award show and guesting with crap artists.

I am known to be quite a big GN'R fan on the forum so I'm not having a dig at him in any way. I honestly want him to be out there but deservedly so and this latest offering is one of the worst in my GN'R collection.

He is NOT the Slash I once loved.

My top 10 GN'R offshoot albums would be:

1. Izzy Stradlin and The Ju Ju Hounds
2. Izzy Stradlin - Fire
3. Izzy Stradlin - Like A Dog
4. Slash's Snakepit - It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere
5. Izzy Stradlin - 117*
6. Izzy Stradlin - Ride On
7. Duff's Loaded - Sick
8. Slash's Snakepit - Aint Life Grand
9. Izzy Stradlin - On Down The Road
10. Duff McKagan - Believe In Me

and there are plenty more after that before I would get to this new CD.

CC

A friend sent me a link to the Slash site (don't try to say that quick  ), the new album is streaming there. I had a listen, but it did nothing for me. So... in a word, no, I won't be buying this album.
