I'm finally designing my Coffin Case. I'm using a Hamlet theme. It's a little hard to see because of the white but I posted my progress on youtube. I'm still debating on whether to use f holes on the sides or not, but I think there's enough space filled already so I won't have to do that. But I'll still ask in the poll if I should squeeze them in there or not. I'll have that up for about a week.

Here's the link for my progress...phase one.

Sure thing, thanks.

I just wanted to ask just in case. Hopefully, I can start phase two tomorrow. I'm working on a color scheme right now.

Hi Lady VA,I saw the video and think that you've hit upon a great idea, the preliminary sketch looks great and the finished artwork should look quite impressive.I think that F holes would take away from the overall theme of the case and draw attention away from the sword and cup motif. The Hamlet quote was a brilliant choice, please post it when finished. You certainly have an artistic flair,I'm impressed.

Thanks all. I'm just worried about the color scheme right now. I really don't know what colors to use. I will use black for the lettering for sure and a whitish color for the pearl, but I'm having trouble deciding what to use for the cup and the hilt of the sword. I was going for more of a goldish color for those areas. I don't have many colors right now for acrylics. I have red, green, burnt umber, black, and white. I did Twilight book covers on a podium once which got me started on decorating things. I have it up on my youtube page. It's LadyVendettaAngel like my user name.

Plus, I asked Jonny Coffin to look at it through my Facebook. He gave it a 'like'.

I voted yes for the "f" holes; however, I think you should go with what you have now and possibly add to it later if it does look a little bare. It will look different once the color starts going on.

I'll post when done, but I'll be posting vids of my progress like I did with a podium I made.

Was going to work on it today, but mom's basement pipes backed up and was cleaning up sH*t on my birthday. So I had a sh*&&y birthday. LOL

Finished phase two of my coffin case. MUCH aggravation. LOL I'm never happy with anything.

Plus, had an idea. If I do (now that's IF) put in f-holes, I might make them into snakes. In Hamlet, Claudius said his brother (Hamlet's father) died by a serpent biting him while sleeping in his orchard. However, it was Claudius who poisoned his brother. I have lots of green left anyway. LOL (Or I might put the f holes on the back of the case and put stickers...coffin case was nice enough to give me a bunch)

The Hamlet theme is a good idea, looks pretty cool. I would hold back on
the f holes for now. The snakes are a good idea.
Keep us posted on the progress. 8)
