I just heard on CNN that there was a strong earthquake (7.2) in Northern Mexico that has affected Southern California. I hope everyone is OK.

my girl said she felt a little tremor in La Jolla, apparently it was stronger near the border and my buddy in LA said they even felt it a bit there.

Weird!

They felt it in Tucson as well but 70 miles southeast of "The Old Pueblo" we didn't notice a thing.

I didn't feel anything here in phoenix.. But I weigh like 230 lbs... Us big guys don't really feel earthquakes that happen over 300 miles away.. Only the lightweights can feel those small ripples..

I was right in the middle of dinner when the whole house started rolling back and forth. It was more like being at sea (due to the distance from LA) than the sharp raps of something closer. From my perspective, it seemed to go on and on and when that happens, you're kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

They say it lasted about 40 seconds here in LA and as far as I know, no injuries or serious damage reported anywhere. A few people were briefly stuck in halted elevators but that was the worst of it here. I haven't noticed any of the aftershocks.

The guys in our San Diego office said they experienced about the same thing down there. No one hurt, no one had anything broken and our inter-office systems stayed up the whole time.
