I was thinking about this yesterday, cause we were at marysville and I was wondering, "I wonder if any of these people were guitar freaks, and had lke 50 guitars, and only had to save one". So if something disarsterous happened to your home, what one guitar will you save? And why?

Its a easy choice for me, as I only have 2 electric guitars, and 1 three quater sized acoustic, that is to small for my fingers. So I'd have to go with my squier strat, for some reason I play that more than the SG.

Either my Squier Strat (my first guitar, plus I love the neck on it and the Texas Specials rock) or my Fender Strat (signed by Jimmie Vaughan). Both are impossible to replace, although I guess I could just buy another Fender and have Jimmie Vaughan sign it again. But it still wouldn't be that one and there are lots of good memories attached to both of those guitars. I don't know, I don't think I could choose. It's like saying, "If both of your dogs were going to die in a fire and you could only save one, which one would you save?"

I don't think I'd be thinking of guitars at a time like that. People first, then financial records and other such important stuff. My insurance would always replace my guitars......and I'd been getting new guitars out of it all. Guitars would probably be last on my list.

I think it's meant to be a hypothetical scenario... Really the question should be it you had to destroy all your guitars except one, what would that one guitar be...

As long as I can have one of these I'll be alright, I'll just be inconsolably sad for a few days >_> edit: probably years

I'd take BB King's advice.

Between my MiM Strat and my '61 Gibson Melody Maker, I'd say the MiM. Not as great in value, but one could say that I'm...emotionally attached. Not saying that I wouldn't miss my '61, it's just that I've grown quite attached to my little Strat.
