You only have to learn two simple finger forms to make this work. Then you have to learn to play fast!).

Kevin great job and double stop lick that I copped myself.lol Glad to see lately more licks ,tips and tricks being posted. If this keeps up maybe we can ask Brad for a room pertaining to only talking and posting such things.

Nicely done Kevin and I noticed your Steve Wariner memorabilia behind you. He's a very excellent guitar player in his own right. I shall not hesitate to "borrow" those licks...

I think this is a great idea. I post questions about technique, licks etc sometime and it would be nice to have a section dedicated just to PLAYING guitar. I think it would be helpful for Fender players from beginner to pro!

Yes, that is Steve Wariner (and Clint Black) behind me - with the handwritten studio lyrics for "Been There" which was the last Top 10 Hit for both. Those days are over..in Country it is a Taylor Swift world now.

Yea, a section for Tabs and Techniques would be kinda cool.....

Cool video. :D Country's always been sort of a mystery to me. Maybe I should start learning more.

I like the idea of a forum dedicated to playing guitar too. That would be very cool. 8)

Country is a mystery to many people here. But if you can play this style you can play anything because the fingering positions can be close to impossible.
For example (and a place to start)!

actually, Dutchy, I am learning the solo I linked to on the above post - I am figuring that from start time to finish it is going to take me 3 months to get it all down (the full song, not just the piece on the above video). A month for the TAB and then two months of playing over and over to get it up to speed - and even then I will probably be at 80% speed. I will post when I get it done. It is by far the hardest solo I have found in the Country catalog so far. When I get done with this I am on to learn the solo that Guthrie Govan has published and tabbed on Rotosound.com.
That solo is a monster.

Thanks for the tips! I have a few country fan friends who'll be pleasantly surprised when I give 'em something other than my usual jazz/blues based progressions. Nothing like a change -- courtesy of you!
