I saw that video of Obama ages ago. I couldnt help but think 'I cant get into America anymore even though I know the correct number of states. Yet they have some clown running the show who doesnt know either and cant do basic arithmetic's'.

I dont know anything about him at all. I'd have to say he probably has a great political mind to have such a long career. Probably too great a asset to whatever party he represents. It's a shame if thats the case that he cant give a more advisory role. Utilize his strengths and get someone else to do the speaking.

Seems to me that Obama is a pretty effective president. The only president able to get a health care bill passed in the last hundred years. Very ineffectual indeed. The health care bill is going to crush your health care system, particularly if it is modelled on our NHS. People dying on corridors waiting to be seen in disease riddled hospitals that have more in common with Vietnamese POW camps than places of recovery. A utter influx of immigrants waiting to invade your country to bleed you dry of tax dollars and free health care and social care. Despot doctors who get paid no matter what, rather than having to earn their money. You'll end up just the same as us, a two tier country where people living in the same borough as parliament enjoy a decent maintained bunch of hospitals. Everyone else can go rot. When one single body control revenue guess where it gets spent.

It's all happening here. How by doing the same as us can you expect different results?

Yeah I watched the video...it was an obvious gaffe on his part. You would know this if you listened to what he said. He said he had been in 57 states and one left to go not counting Alaska and Hawaii. Obviously he intended to say 47 states. But I guess if you had been campaigning for president and had been traveling the United States and getting very little sleep and talking to tens of thousands of people at a time you would never make the mistake of saying 57 when you intended to say 47. Someone like you being perfect, a know it all, and a nihilist would never make that mistake.

What I can't believe is I asked for examples and facts of how Obama is an, as you put, it an ineffectual President. All you could offer me was nothing and then some speculative b.s. that our healthcare system will end up like the British healthcare system. That may or may not be true but hardly evidence of Obama being an ineffectual president.

He is now 92 years old, that video was when he was 90. When he speaks now he reads off papers where the words are written so big that there are only like 6 to 8 words a page. Half the time the man don't know where he is. He stood on the senate a few years ago and was using the N word and nothing was said because he is a Dem. and old. A side note doing the 40's he was a recruiter for the KKK and a Exalted one. For years he was know as the king of pork for all the money in pork barrel projects he brought to his state to buy his votes. Now he votes as he is told because he has no clue.

knitgirl don't realize the only reason Health bill past was alot of money bought those votes and it will bring our system down with out a doubt. Thats why so many states are looking to stay out of the system. The Constitution does not allow the U.S. government to require a citizen to buy a product or a service that HE or She does not wish to use or have. Because of that the U.S can not charge or penalize for not doing so. People don't realize that if you don't buy Health care you are fined for not doing so. That and since Insurance companies are being made to take everyone on no matter what is wrong with them that all those who have Insurance will see those rates go through the roof. Some one walks in a Insurance office and says they have AIDS the insurance company has to take them on knowing it is going to cost them million in care for years. These Ins companies will be out of business in 12 years without being allowed to make a profit which is the goal of the Democrat party so as to get to the single payer system thru the Government, thats the goal .
They could not pass universal health care so they passed what will bring down the Ins. industry to where people will have no choice but to go single payer government insurance down the road. All done under the guise of universal health care.

Would you as a man with a lot more mental resource than I take a look at the American Freeman on the land movement and tell me what you think. I'm strongly considering taking that course of action, though I dont like a lot of the cultish aspects of the various groups. As always I refuse to side with any political organisation, I'm only in it for me. I am very very intrested in the legal aspects of it though. If ever I see firsthand some evidence of it working, I'm in.

Way I see it, I'm far better off going it alone than relying on some bureaucracy. I dont use any medical ameneties, cant claim any benefits and have paid tax since I was 16. The police where I live are a joke far too tied up in red tape to be effective. I've never believed in democracy since I was 8, I've certainly never seen it in action in my country. The last serious protest we had (fuel tax) dictator blair threatend military action on the public.

I want to opt out. Where can I get a cheap island?
