Plenty of players like the Zendrive, but it's unusual to find any specific brand of effect discussed in depth here. You'd need to visit a forum that's more concerned with peripheral gear to get a proper fix. Alf Hermida's work is always of interest — he's the only builder I know of who might be able to counter the claim "yes, but it's not rocket science, is it?" with "Actually, that's precisely what it is" — and if I were starting all over and buying new pedals I'd be checking out his stuff. As it is I tend to browse eBay first, research interesting items and then pounce if the price remains low, so I don't have many pedals that have waiting lists (however short!)... ah, well. Have fun with the Zendrive — I believe Eric Johnson and Robben Ford are both using Hermida overdrives at the moment, so you're in good company... :)

They have them in stock being sold by Hermida himself.. They are $200 ... No waiting list... Some fools are buying them for $250-$300 on ebay... I guess nobody knows that they have them in stock at Hermida.. And Hermida gives you the option of returning for a refund if you don't like it... I have my doubts.. Believe it or not.. I really liked the fulltone pedal I tried out at Guitar Center.. So I won't hesitate to return the Zendrive... But I tell you there is a lot of hype about these pedals..

Brad Paisley has used one on all his CD's - even though he gets great overdrive from his Dr. Z Amps he still keeps that pedal going in his stage shows too.
