i listen mostly to politcal talk radio these days. my wife or co-workers turn me on to new music. yes, some of it is very annoying. howevah, i like a wide variety of music. i never liked rap until i listened to eminem. his phrasing is incredible. yes, the lyrics are harsh but you have the choice to not listen. i've never heard the blackeyed peas.

All rap, with no exceptions, is talentless garbage. End of story.

But that's just my opinion.

Eminem uses music samples to me that sound like they are from childrens shows. I have listened to him whenever there was an awards show and will admit he has a way with words but I could actually do the same thing and write a whole rap album and give it to some kid to rap, in fact I find it quite easy and humorous. All you have to do is think of a topic, lets take prison and I will actually sit here and come up with a few lines.

They took my body but they cant take my mind I'm a name and a number in a cage doing time. Thugs, drugs 9mm slugs-----

Now that took me about 5 minutes to come up with and is just playing with words. Not exactly rocket science.lol

My friend sent me the video to "Slim Shady" and it was the most inappropiate, sexual video I have ever seen in my life. I was offended after I watched it.

as ive already said, his singles are often the ones that are garbage.... he releases those because he knows thats what the mindless drones listening want, if you just look deep into his albums however there is meaning..... also, yes his lyrics are harsh, but hes doesnt (at least on the real songs) use them as filler but to express strong emotion
