I was there and it was one of the best guitar festivals I've ever been to. Crowded, oh yeah; hot, oh yeah, bu nothing was hotter than what was going on ON stage that day! If I had $20k I would've bought one of Clapton's limited Cross Roads strats for myself. Oh well!

I already bought my copy of it. What an amazing show. Anyone else amazed by the Bass Player Jeff Beck had (Tal Wilkenfeld) That was some of the best bass playing I have ever heard and to see it come out of that girl was just amazing.

I had four tickets to go to the show and could not go.

to be honest after watching the DVD I would have felt a bit cheated by the fact that Clapton layed back and let Trucks do most of the soloing.

personal opinion only here but if I want to see Clapton I want to here Clapton playing his Strat, not slide guitar on an SG.

the Jeff Beck set was as fun as it gets for shure.

Why not more dominating soloing by Clapton? Clapton's a blues musician. You'll see BB King and Buddy Guy there on stage. If you watch a get-together of blues musicians, they don't get greedy and try to smoke each other. Clapton's a gentleman, which is why all these greats show up for his festivals. He plays some very nice licks on the Blind Faith song.

The killer was the Winwood reunion. That made the whole show. "Presence of the Lord" had to give you chills.

I enjoyed Winwood's B3 sound, his vocals and his ripping Surf Green Strat and playing on "Dear Mr. Fantasy." 8)

Yeah, everybody forgets Winwood put out a solo album where he played everything (just like Stevie Wonder) including guitar, and it sounded really good. I think that's the one with "If You See a Chance" on it with that amazing synth solo, or was that "Valerie"? Maybe both.
