Hey everybody,
I wondered if any of you use the Line 6 POD X3 Live. I was thinking about getting one... I know it's pretty expensive, but it seems worth the price! I just wanted to hear the opinions or experience that my fellow forumites had with it.

Thanks!

I got one and have to say its awesome. I can wrangle just about any tone i want from it.

Go to guitar geek or some site that shows you an artists rig, find the replica or similar amp, pedals, wah, etc etc in the pod, tinker withit a bit and away you go.

Plenty of folks will tell you its not authentic and they are right, its not, but its close enough that it doesnt make a difference. It simulates tubes awesomely. solid state amps dont have that quality of tubes where if you lightly pick its clean and light but you can get crunch by increasing your strumming attack. The pod does this perfectly.

You can also mix two different amps in it, so something like an 5150 for sharp bite and trebble, but with a big marshall for bass in the back, give you a real full tone.

I really recommend it.

I use the POD studio GX, I had a laptop computer already so saved a few dollars going that way. Also, I don't need it to gig with.

I use it regularly.

Just don't start a thread to ask if digital modeling sounds better than tube amps. (ps there is one already in the modern amp forum, conclusion, 1 those with digital/solid state amps prefer them and think it is the future, 2 those with tube gear prefer them, and 3 they will never agree.)
