Never really thought much about it but 13/15 of my guitars have rosewood. Altough one might be ebony.

I like maple, even though only one of my guitars has a maple fretboard. There will surely be more in the future.

Its probably for the sake of having a conversation. :) I prefer maple- Love the feel of the board and I can't wait for it to start getting some mojo from age.

I like both, maple is fav, rosewood seems to add a little warmth to tone among other factors. :)

I found several threads in The Lounge, Strat and Tele forums...there may be more? Haven't searched Bass forums.

There's no fretboard like a Fender maple fretboard.

I like both. I would choose one or the other based on the body finish of the guitar for asthetic reasons. But, that's just me. :D

I voted maple but my Strat is black and I think it looks best with maple. If It was a white or several other lighter colors I might go with a choice of the rosewood or even ebony. I think it doesn't affect playability as much as it does appearance. IMHO

IMHO, I wholeheartedly agree, to me it's purely aesthetic, never really felt or heard a difference, I actually kind of like the maple look better.

I think this topic, Strat Vs Tele, and Gibson Vs Fender are probably some of the most repeatedly asked polls/questions/topics...which for the most part ends up to be more of a " ****ing match/my dad is bigger than your dad" kind of clear cut decision discussion...
