Cool name, don't know the band. What kind of music genere?

Pop rock with some country and other influences thrown in. They had a hit with "Good Old Rock 'n' Roll" -- a medley of a number of classic rock-n-roll by Little Richard, Chuck Berry, etc.

I missed this in my last post, but I've always thought Wolfmother was a really cool name too.

I always liked Grateful Dead, Moody Blues and Derek and the Dominoes, both the bands and the band names.

the Tor-kays, the beatles, the knights, the rivieras, the ravens, the temptations,the kinks, I have always liked the one word name with a 'the' in front of it but not easy to think of.
