The Visual Sound is very nice but I found the best Chorus I've evr heard, the Mod-Tone Aqua Chorus. I went on a search about a year ago and this one won all comparisons hands down. The Visual Sound came in second.

Thanks for all the advice folks,I went out this morning and bought a Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus, metal case,EQ and all for less than $50. It's a great pedal and as I won't be using it much just for a bit of texture every now and then the price is right.

I own the Danelectro FAB Chorus pedal and think it's terrific, especially for the price. It actually produces a wider range of tones than the Boss CH-1, and unlike the CH-1, it has analog electronics (which some believe produces a warmer tone than digital pedals). You also can't beat the price: the Danelectro pedal costs something like $15-20 new, compared to the $80-100 you'll spend for a new Boss Chorus pedal.

The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the plastic casing (those metal Boss pedals are virtually indestructable). But mine has gotten a fair amount of use and has held up well so far.

I'd go to the store and try both out before making a final decision. You might also give the Electro Harmonix Small Clone a try -- a lot of people really dig that pedal.

the cobain fanboy in me is dying for a small clone.... how much do they cost new?

I think the Small Clones are around $85 new (less if you get one used on Ebay). Nice, simple pedals, and they, too, are analog. The only thing I don't like is that there are no AC adaptor plugs on them.

I've seen 9V adapters that have a clip like a 9Vbattery that you just snap onto your 9V terminal in the effect.

Right, you'll have to use a 9V battery, although some of the pedal power supplies do have adaptors that would probably work with the Small Clone (see link below!).

It's kind of a minor issue, but still something to consider when you're making a purchase decision! :)

I think this is the chorus that Andy Summers is using these days!

I am a big fan of ModTone. Great products for a great price and virtually indestructible.

For those of you after a Clone, make sure you get the regular and NOT the Nano version.

I've posted about them before, I bought one last summer, 'blind' (or shouldn't that be deaf?) I admit but it was on the strength that I already tried other Nano series pedals and I ADORE my Nano Small Stone Phaser.

The Nano version of the Clone can't be daisycahined, it's EXCESSIVELY noisy which means it simply cannot be used live or for recording, it eats batteries like no other and you get a 30% volume drop.

It's a pity because the chorus effect is lovely and I love Electro-Harmonix. I'm saving for the regular version although it wont fit on my pedal board.
