That's funny. I always associated Tweed with a particular Fender sound, like the Deluxe 5e3 or a 57 Champ or old Princeton, not just what the amp was covered in. Times are seriously changing. 8)

The thing has likely been hammered anyway.

Power valves dont match.
Plug is broken
Tweed is torn and 'amateur' repaired.

That got me to pass over it very quickly.

If you want a 2 channel amp with swritchable reverb and decent clean and modern gain switchable channels, theres only one amp. The JCM900. The 800 has arguably a better drive sound, but its clean channel is anything but. It's more like a plexi on steroids.

Personaly I dont think theres a channel switching amp on the planet that does a completely convincing job on both clean and drive channels.

I agree. The Egnater Renegade is pretty impressive though.

I'd be very wary of that amp,it looks like it's been around the block a few times and if you look closely it looks like some kind of liquid was spilled over it in the area of the handle. If you look further down that page there's a 63 Super for $200 more-now that's a great amp.I'd steer well away from any amp that has had stuff spilled on it you don't know what kind of damage it did.
